TikTok video not opening or not loading? What to do

Updated March 17, 2026

When a TikTok video doesn't open or stops loading, the error isn't always with the tool. Many failures occur because the content was removed, made private, limited by region or the link was copied incorrectly.

1. Test the link in the browser

First of all, paste the TikTok URL into the browser. If the video does not open there, the problem is probably at the source and not in the download.

2. Check if the video remains public

3. Re-copy the link

If you have any doubts, go back to TikTok and copy the link again using the button Share. If you need help with this, see how to copy TikTok link correctly.

4. Try again after a few seconds

Tools of this type may depend on APIs and external services. If there is a delay or momentary unavailability, the same link may work in a new attempt a few seconds later.

5. If the video fails, the MP3 may also fail

When the main video does not load, audio extraction usually fails for the same reason. In this case, see also how to download MP3 audio from TikTok.

Practical tip: Always compare with another public video. If a second link loads normally, the problem was almost always with the first video and not the entire site.
